During the development of major cities around the world, city clusters have gradually become the main form of urbanization. Chinese cities have entered a new era of transformation, development, and institutional innovation driven by socio-economic innovation. New-type urbanization continues to advance, urban clusters have emerged one after another, and 5G technology and the digital economy have developed rapidly. The fast-forward button has been pressed on the development of new infrastructure including 5G networks, big data centers, and artificial intelligence. Mobile Internet, IOT, big data, AI, new energy, and other new technologies have been widely used in transport. In the meantime, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, public safety measures including epidemic prevention and control have been routinized in the transport sector, revolutionizing transportation means and service models and reshaping urban transportation. Faced with new opportunities and challenges, urban traffic management and control has entered a new era of modernization and transformation.

In the context of coordinated regional development, transport governance system reformation, rapid development of 5G technology, and increasing influence of new Internet technologies on transportation and mobility. The forum invites representatives of transportation organizations and experts from major cities around the world to share their insights into the reform of integrated traffic governance systems in metropolitses, including innovation of traffic management, development of transportation technologies, transformation of service models for routinized pandemic prevention.
